Rangers delivered a superb performance to thrash Kilmarnock 5-0 in a Scottish Cup 5th Round replay at Ibrox on Wednesday night.
Buoyed by the return of Alfredo Morelos, Steven Gerrard’s side were unstoppable up against ten-man Killie, roaring through to a quarter final tie against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
The Colombian striker bagged four goals on the night, with the other coming through Andy Halliday.
Morelos of course won supporters’ hearts, but many more impressed in the starting eleven, not least Daniel Candeias.
The Portuguese winger was back at his best having played poorly at the weekend against St Johnstone, combining superbly with Morelos throughout and delivering the kind of final ball that really troubled the Killie defence.
He’s been going through some frustrating form recently but there’s no doubt when he is at his best that he is a force to be reckoned with.
