Rangers have impressed us for much of the season, but our display last night was our worst in a long time. The Gers looked particularly poor, which is in stark contrast to how we’ve performed in recent weeks.
Steven Gerrard’s men have done well lately, but it was certainly an off day on Wednesday.
The finger can be pointed in a few directions, namely the issue of fixture congestion and the sending off of Alfredo Morelos, but the fact of the matter is that they needed to be better.
Fortunately, following the game, Steven Gerrard isn’t pulling any punches nor he is making any excuses. Rangers shared a video of the manager reflecting on the tie, and it’s clear that he’s not happy.

It would have been easy for him to blame the performance on extraneous variables, but he’s simply recognised the issues and is demanding better; and fans have been impressed.
In response, lots of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Gerrard, and it seems as though the popular manager is getting even more popular.
See what they’ve had to say below…
Brilliant HONEST words from the gaffer! Come on Gers, let’s bounce back!!

Total admiration for SGs honesty here. Our indiscipline will be what cost us most over the season IMO. 3 off in 3 games is absolutely not acceptable #RangersFC

Well said Stevie. The players need to respect this great club! I like Morelos but being suspended for Dundee and Hamilton is a huge blow. Hopefully Lafferty steps up!

I like listening to him, I wondered if he had it at the start, I think he has but perhaps respects the team too much. Great comment in that this team has to start respecting the club. That being said glad they got beat cos I just can’t get enough

Very refreshing every time he conducts an interview, says it how it is ????

Good to hear him talking about players needing to show the club respect & cut out the ill discipline. Should be fining players a weeks wage for every point we drop in games they get sent off in. Will soon improve the discipline levels
