Where would we be without Alfredo?

Rangers are far from the one man team that we were a few seasons ago, however, when you need someone to produce something special and to dig us out of a hole, he very rarely lets us down.

Against Malmo, it was the defence that didn’t do their job, with very little service he still managed to pull us back into the tie.

It was exactly the same against Alashkert, when we were looking desperate, there was one man who produced the goods, one man who stepped up – El Bufalo.

His incredible scoring streak for Rangers in European competition can only be admired and one that is unlikely to be broken any time soon, that Ally McCoist’s stood for over 30 years says everything about how special it is.

The maturity of his performance was exemplary and surely puts to bet any doubts about his temperament, Steven Gerrard knows that he can trust his talismanic front man to deliver on the big stage.

Who scored Rangers first ever goal under Steven Gerrard in EL qualification?

He’s not quite priceless, but when you consider the £10million offer from Porto and alleged £12-13m valuation, it really says more about the standard of reporting that they think such figures are accurate and acceptable for a player of Morelos’s calibre.

There’s no way that he’ll see out his career at Ibrox and we should make the most of him whilst he’s here but nobody can ever question his commitment, determination or sheer will to drag his team through – he’s done it on countless times already, and I’ve no doubt that he will do it again.
