Another case of close but not close enough for the Gers at the weekend against Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup.
We had some good chances, of course, but just didn’t really offer the amount of pressure needed to win a game like that and I felt at times Steven Gerrard just needed to make other calls.
It was, of course, his biggest game in charge of the club up until now and so he will learn whilst it makes me wonder whether we should be going after the guy that won the game.
Lewis Ferguson has Rangers connections thanks to his family already whilst we have in the past decided to not go after him.
Now, though, after he showed what he can do on the big stage despite his young age, it might well be offering another Ferguson the chance to play for our club.
