Kris Boyd will not feature on Sky Sports coverage of St. Mirren v Celtic tonight, fuelling speculation that he has been dropped due to complaints from Celtic fans.
A tweet from presenter Eilidh Barbour revealed that she would be assisted on analysis duty by James McFadden and John Collins.

This led to more than a few comments from Rangers fans poking fun at their rivals, whilst raising the question of a pro-Celtic bias from other TV personalities who have not been dropped in recent times.
Kris Boyd has been relishing Rangers revival this season and his direct, no-nonsense style of punditry does appear to have ruffled a few feathers.
Given his Rangers past, it is no secret that he leans to the blue side of Glasgow but that does not prevent him from criticising the Gers, with his reaction to the lacklustre performance at Hamilton on Sunday as well as the actions of Alfredo Morelos in the incident with Ryan Porteous at Easter Road a couple of weeks ago, evidening just two recent examples.
The man with the famous grin simply tells it as it is, but his absence from our screens tonight raises a massive question which would set a precedent.
Has Kris Boyd been removed from covering Celtic games due to pressure from outside the broadcasters control?
Let’s hope this is not the case, otherwise there could be a few more changes to follow.
The commentary of Ian Crocker and his accomplice Andy Walker would be another talking point.
Here is a selection of the responses from Twitter users on the issue:
