Rangers icon Paul Gascoigne has taken to Twitter today to respond to the Scottish Hall of Fame drama and it could have hardly been classier.
Sending a message to the club, its supporters and also the SFA, Gazza is clearly trying to move on from a situation that has put both the player and his mental health unnecessarily into the spotlight once again.
To Rangers and the fans he made it clear that in his mind only the recognition of one Scottish football entity matters…

To the SFA he sent a typically cheeky message, reliving his incredible goal for England against Scotland at Euro 96…

Rangers supporters were of course quick to rush to reply in recognition of the fan favourite, making it crystal clear that they’ll always love him for his contribution to the period of incredible 1990s success.
Hopefully now the club will look to bring him up and allow fans to share the love in person.
These fans took to Twitter to pay tribute…
We love you Gazza. Forget those clowns at the SFA. Thanks for the memories ????

Simply The Best Gazza. Scotland is a crazy place where some people get offended by a colour and invisible flutes. We seen a genius, one of the best footballers to grace our game. Rangers are a family and family you always will be. ????⚪️????
