Rangers striker Jermain Defoe had supporters drooling today after his incredible contribution in the 2-0 win over Celtic at Ibrox.
The veteran forward managed to set-up our second goal of the match without even touching the ball, dummying Glen Kamara’s sublime pass to allow Scott Arfield to run onto it and slot home.
It was the most sublime movement and piece of skill of the afternoon and should definitely not be going unnoticed in the aftermath of our superb Scottish Premiership victory.
The partnership between Defoe and Arfield has been a real highlight of our last six matches, with the duo finding a near telepathic connection with each other that is continually delighting fans.
It bodes well for next season and Alfredo Morelos has a lot of work to do to force himself back into regular starting elevens.
These fans took to Twitter today to pay tribute to Defoe’s brilliant dummy and the partnership he’s forming with Arfield…
Jermain Defoe letting it run through his legs is the MOST phenomenal piece of football you will ever see.

Scott Arfield and Jermain Defoe look like they’ve played together for years and it’s less than 5 months
