Having done most of our deals well ahead of the summer transfer window closing, there was still time for a few more departures the other day.

22 year old Robbie Crawford hasn’t featured for manager Mark Warburton yet but ahead of the deadline window closing, he made the loan move to Championship side Alloa Athletic on a spell until January to get him some more regular first team action under his belt to aide his development and form.

Having made his breakthrough back in 2012 during our third division days, he has made a total of 57 appearances for the club since then, scoring seven times.

20 year old Andy Murdoch also moved out the club on a loan spell until January, but he moved to League One side Cowdenbeath.

Having broken properly into the squad last season following his debut against East Fife back in the 2013-14 campaign, he has gone on to make 23 appearances for us so far, with a return of one goal against Raith Rovers last February.

Danny Stoney also left the club following a mutual termination of his deal with us. Having signed his professional deal with us back in the summer of 2012, he went on to debut in April 2013 against Clyde and he made two more senior appearances that year.

Last season he spent the year with Stranraer taking in 34 games, scoring two goals and the 19 year old now looks for pastures new.

Speaking to the Official Site in general about the business he has done, the gaffer explained.

‘I`m delighted with the business we have done. David, Jim and myself, and indeed all of the staff here have worked really hard, and the powers that be at Ibrox – Stewart Robertson, Andrew Dickson and the Board – have been really supportive. We got the bulk of our business done early, and that`s always pleasing as it gives you peace of mind.’

Moving later with loans, Warburton said had always been the plan so he couldn’t fault what we’d been able to do and now our recruitment boys can turn their eye to work we want to do in January if we can.
