What is behind the success, at this stage, Rangers are having this season? Is it the new boss Mark Warburton? The quality of players that have come in under him? The players, perhaps some of them not up to task, that have left Ibrox?

Or is it a combination of all of the above, and more?

The answer is probably just that, all of the above and more including a great level of contentment among the Rangers squad this season!

Lee Wallace says the fact the Rangers players are enjoying ‘coming into work’ is having an amazingly successful effect on the brilliant start to the season the Gers have made, he’s been quoted by Sky Sports as saying.

‘We are enjoying coming into work every day and taking to the field every Saturday.

‘So if we can maintain top levels and be the best as we can be as individuals, as a consequence, we are going to be really hard to stop.’

Sitting pretty at the top of the Championship table with, after only five-matches played, a goal-difference of 16 after another five-nil thrashing of Raith at Ibrox on Saturday a record of played nine won nine under Warburton is beyond the start to his reign we could have even hoped for!

The fact we’ve built up ‘momentum’ too has also helped and if we can maintain that we’ll have ‘an enjoyable season’ not that Wallace is looking too far ahead! His only focus at the moment is Livingston in the next game, adding.

‘If we keep that belief, keep that momentum, we are going to have an enjoyable season.

‘We aim to send the fans happy every week and hopefully come the end of the season we can reward them with some silverware but until then we will keep working hard and keep going in the right direction.

‘The focus is on Livingston next week. We will rest well and the preparations will start for that on Monday.’

He also said that it’s important we ‘maintain top levels as individuals and as a team’ with the weekend ‘an accomplished professional performance’ with the momentum that’s being built also ‘breeding great confidence throughout the group’ as it has the fans!

Both players and fans alike, as Wallace finished by saying, ‘are really looking forward to every game.’

Long may this continue!
