The 2016-17 season continues with a game for Rangers. The only Premiership game on Wednesday will see us come up against Hearts at Tynecastle, with it having a 7:45pm kick-off.

Previous results

Sat 26 Nov 2016 – Scottish Premiership
Partick Thistle 1-2 Rangers 12:15
Dundee 2-1 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 15:00
Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Motherwell 15:00
Ross County 1-1 Hamilton Academical 15:00

The dramatic injury-time winner from Joe Dodoo at Partick Thistle on Saturday took Rangers up to second in the Premiership, above Aberdeen. They weren’t in action of course as they played, and were beaten by Celtic, in the League Cup final.

It may be a cliché but points on the board are preferable to games in hand. As much as Aberdeen will have them Rangers put the points on the board in that win over Thistle with it also the aim at Hearts, who ran away with the Scottish Championship title the year before the Gers claimed this to return to the topflight this season.

Hearts have been scoring goals, they’ve got six in two games including three in a 3-0 win over Motherwell on Saturday, with Rangers tasked with keeping it tight at the back and taking chances we’ll get, and we’ll create them of that I’m sure.

A win and a five point gap is opened up on Aberdeen, ahead of the meeting at the weekend, it’ll also reduce the Celtic lead to five points but leave them with three games in hand. Hearts would fall six points behind Rangers as well, so plenty to play for.

What will happen in this one though? Cast your vote so we know if you think it’ll be all smiles or disappointment for the Gers come the full time whistle.
