Rangers secured a win over St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

St Johnstone, fourth, ended the season nine points behind third-placed Rangers as Pedro Caixinha’s much changed side recorded a 2-1 victory at McDiarmid Park, a first visit for the Gers’ boss.

Veteran Kenny Miller scored his 14th goal of the season shortly before half time to put Rangers ahead. That lead was doubled by Jon Toral following a brilliant run from James Tavernier to set up the Arsenal loanee. Jak Alnwick couldn’t mark his debut with a clean sheet as the Light Blues’ keeper was beaten by Graham Cummins late on.
