Here is the Viaplay Sports team who will present and discuss all matters relating to the League Cup final on Sunday.

Given that the decider is an Old Firm showdown, it is no surprise that a host of former Rangers and Celtic personnel make up the panel who will be providing analysis, opinion, as well as commentating for the live broadcast.

Two legends and a troll sums up the very welcome presence of Ally McCoist and Brian Laudrup whilst Chris Sutton, as expected, will continue to provide his input.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with former Celtic players and managers featuring – they obviously should given that the club is contesting the final – but the shock-jock, forced controversy from Sutton is nothing but a side show.

No doubt we will hear more about the recent ‘spat’ with Michael Beale, but the best way to respond to that is for the Gers boss to lead his side to victory.

In full, the extended Viaplay team for the big day will consist of the following.

Emma Dodds, Rory Hamilton, Connie McLaughlin, Ally McCoist, Brian Laudrup, Alan Hutton, Gordon Strachan, John Hartson, Chris Sutton and Michael Stewart.

Three in the blue corner, three on the green side with Stewart as the supposed neutral and the others to add some authority from the broadcaster’s perspective.

For those watching the live coverage of the final, it will certainly be eventful and opinionated with all of the above clamouring to have their say.

The commercial broadcaster gets their show underway at 2pm on the Viaplay Sport 1 channel, one hour ahead of kick-off as part of a scheduled four and half hour slot which could be extended in the event of extra time and penalties.
