Ticket prices for the upcoming Premier Sports Cup semi-finals were confirmed on Monday by the SPFL.

The price point won’t come as a surprise to many Rangers fans given the amounts that are regularly charged by other Premiership clubs for away games but in these challenging times and a cost of living crisis, a reduction would have been welcomed by all.

Unfortunately, the clubs and authorities know that the supporters will pay the money and fill the seats, especially with Rangers and Celtic involved.

Saturday 14th January will see the Parkhead team take on Kilmarnock with a 5.30pm kick-off whilst Rangers face Aberdeen the following day with a 3pm start. As usual, both games will take place at Hampden.

The SPFL statement included:

“The vast majority of tickets will range from £28-£33 for adults at Celtic v Kilmarnock on Saturday 14 January, and Rangers v Aberdeen on Sunday 15 January.”

“Under-16s and over-65s will pay £12 to attend the matches, which are being shown exclusively live on Premier Sports.”

Further to that, allocations may change depending on demand. It appears unlikely that Aberdeen will fill half of Hampden for a Sunday game (non-final) and if so, the remainder will go to Rangers fans who will intially be housed in the following areas:

South Stand Lower Section O2 – Adults £38
South Stand Lower Section P – Adults £33
South Stand Upper Section Q – Adults £33
North Stand Sections C & D – Adults £33
West Stand Sections A & B – Adults £28, Over 65 / U-16 £12
North Stand Wheelchair Users – Adults £20, Over 65 / Under-16 £5
South Stand Wheelchair Users – Adults £15, Over 65 / Under-16 £5
West Stand Wheelchair Users – Adults £10, Over 65 / Under-16 £5

The League Cup Final will then take place on Sunday 26 February.
