Glen Kamara’s lawyer has aimed a further blast at UEFA claiming that they aren’t doing enough to combat racism.

Aamer Anwar has spoken to Peter Adam Smith of ITV News in depth, outlining what he feels should happen next and the punishment that should be handed out to Andrej Kudela of Slavia Prague.

With UEFA’s investigator landing a report on the desk of the Desciplinary, Ethics and Control committee, a final ruling is set to be made shortly, in due course.

In a full feature, coming later tonight on ITV News online, Anwar stated:

“UEFA’s conduct makes a mockery of the claims that they take racism seriously.”

“I expect to see robust action by UEFA on the basis of evidence that is available against Mr Kudela”

When asked about the interim verdict and statement from the European football governing body, giving a one-game prima-facie ban to Kudela and a potential five game ban to Kamara, the Glasgow based lawyer responded,

“I think it’s shocking, as I said it appears as if the purpetrators are being rewarded and the victims are being punished.”

With Slavia playing Arsenal in London tonight, the exposure from ITV News, across the UK, on the matter is good PR for Kamara and Rangers but it is necessary.

The Rangers man is the victim of racist abuse and that cannot be understated.

UEFA’s final bearing must carry a lot of weight and there can not be an equivalance of sanctions handed to Kamara, as well as Kudela, for the apparent secondary incident that happened after the game.

This matter is too important to be taken lightly.
