With a few hours of the transfer window remaining, it appears all but certain that there will be no further additions to Michael Beale’s squad, posing with the famous scarf above the head.

The red, white and blue bars have been pictured with Todd Cantwell and now, Nicolas Raskin this month, but despite further efforts, that will be all for now as different outlets have featured.

The manager is said to be more than content with his work with the following assessment:

“Sky Sports News understands Beale is delighted with the business the club have done this month, despite missing out on Morgan Whittaker after Swansea decided to retain the forward, and Rangers are now planning on making further additions in the summer.”

Meanwhile, club partner Heart and Hand Podcast intimated that efforts were made to secure a further couple of arrivals but to no avail.

After his double capture this month, the manager can also look forward to the returns of the likes of John Souttar, Ridvan Yilmaz and Tom Lawrence in the coming weeks, as well as the benefit of seeing Ianis Hagi back into competitive action on Saturday in the win over St Johnstone.

Now, the priority for Beale will be for his team to kick-on and improve on the performance levels to match the uplift in results.

Offers

So what of those possibly leaving Ibrox before the night is out? Alex Lowry is the key protagonist in that regard with different clubs having an eye on the talented attacker. St Mirren presents an attractive Premiership option to aid his development between now and the end of the season, with an outcome expected very soon.

James Sands is a further probable departure but there is time on that one given the differences with the US transfer market, for incoming players. Anything else happening tonight would be a surprise and with no other stories running at present, the above represents the current state of play at Ibrox.

We will keep you updated ahead of the midnight deadline in Scotland when the January transfer window concludes.
