There is no denying that Rangers making it to their first Scottish League Cup final since winning the competition back in 2010/2011 is a big deal. The 3-0 win against Hearts was a massive game for Steven Gerrard and his players.

But some fans are concerned with the on-field celebrations after reaching the final, insisting that no celebrating should be done until the cup is won. A sense of accomplishment from winning a semi-final could allow complacencies to manifest in the dressing room. We certainly don’t want that. Hopefully the lads can move on from the game against Hearts and stay focused on the matches ahead. The lap of honour after the win worries these fans though.

Other fans even stook up for supporters who didn’t stay and celebrate the win, claiming that the mentality of only celebrating big games needs to return.

What do you think? Is it okay to complete a lap of honour after winning a semi-final, or should all celebrations be held off until the final?

Do you agree with celebrating a semi-final win?

No chance - laps of honour and celebrations are for finals only.

Of course - we haven't made it to the final in ages and this is a great accomplishment.

As fans, we want to see the team do well, obviously. But perhaps there is a time and a place? Should the Gers go on to win the whole thing against Celtic in December, however, surely no fans will be complaining. Well maybe the Celtic fans might, but at the end of the day, we’re all okay with that, aren’t we?
