Motherwell are considering making a loan move for Rangers midfielder Jordan Rossiter, according to The Express.

The 21-year-old has largely put his fitness and injury problems behind him this season but has still made just five appearances for the club, only two of which were starts.

With Steven Davis arriving at the club and Glen Kamara on his way too, the player has only fallen further down the pecking order this month and needs regular week-to-week action to get him playing with confidence again.

The Express report that the club have already knocked back a loan bid from Dundee United, but the prospect of him playing in the Scottish Premiership may be more attractive than sending him to Tannadice.

It’s doubtful that Rossiter will get any sort of regular action in the second half of the season but if he could prove himself out on loan in a similar manner to Greg Docherty at Shrewsbury Town, then it can only be a huge benefit to the player and us as a club in the summer.

Here’s hoping some sort of move is figured out in the final few days of the transfer window.
