Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has stated his desire to sign four of this summer’s loan signings on a permanent basis next year.

Ryan Kent, Lassana Coulibaly, Ovie Ejaria and Joe Worrall are all settling into life at Ibrox excellently so far, helping the club secure big results at home and abroad.

Now, the Gers boss has made it public he would love to sign all of them up on long-term contracts if given the opportunity.

As quoted by The Scottish Sun, Gerrard said of the players:

If you’re asking me if I’d want the four of them for next year, I’d sign them right now. We rate them highly.

In an ideal world, they’d all be on four or five-year deals but unfortunately it doesn’t work like that. We have to be respectful to their parents clubs.

I’m still in Jurgen Klopp’s good books, so if Liverpool keep winning maybe there’s some scope.

Ejaria and Kent are the duo on loan from the Anfield club, while Coulibaly made the switch for Ligue 1 side Angers. Worrall was a later arrival in the transfer window, joining from Nottingham Forest on a temporary deal on deadline day.

Signing any of them as a permanent Rangers player would likely excite supporters, with Coulibaly perhaps the pick of the bunch at this early stage of the season.

Whether deals can be done remains to be seen, so for now we should just continue to enjoy them in Rangers colours.
