Some things are just meant to be.

This afternoon, the SPFL confirmed the post-split fixtures for the Premiership, giving Rangers three home and two away games.

‘Trophy Day’ – widely expected to be the last home match, Game 38 when Aberdeen visit Ibrox, is scheduled for Saturday 15th May.

On that date, it will be exactly 10 years on from the epic finale at Kilmarnock on the last day of the 2010/11 season when outgoing legendary boss Walter Smith delivered the club’s 54th title.

Allan McGregor and Steven Davis were both on the pitch that day – this time will be extra special for the duo given all that has happened since.

So far, two of the Gers final five games have been selected for live coverage by Sky Sports – Celtic and Aberdeen.

The last Old Firm encounter of the season will take place at Ibrox on Saturday 2nd May, with another noon kick-off.

Here is what remains this term for the already crowned Champions who will be fully intent on ending the league season unbeaten, as well as making an assault on the Scottish Cup – due to restart after the international break with the visit of Cove Rangers to Ibrox commencing this season’s tournament for Steven Gerrard’s men.
