It was being reported yesterday that Rangers had now submitted a fresh bid to Hearts for striker Kyle Lafferty.
The most recent claim came from the Daily Star and it’s fair to say there’s not really anything new in terms of the news they report.
Talk of a failed bid, the reported cash + Lee Wallace option which ends with an ‘improved bid’ is simply on the table as we continue to look to add another option up front.
With this saga running on for a number of weeks now, it’s fair to say a section of the fanbase are getting increasingly frustrated with whatever the hold up is on the deal, especially as reports a week ago indicated that a deal could and would be agreed within ’48 hours’.
Now, either those reports were baseless or someone, somewhere is playing silly beggars.

With this ongoing presumably with no end, we’ve set a deadline and got another deal lined up with the transfer window running out in just over a week. We can’t put ourselves into a position whereby the delays see us overpay what we’re willing to cough up just because we didn’t source alternatives.
In fact, after this long, some would argue we should move on now.
