Rangers youngster Myles Beerman has been reportedly told he can leave Ibrox this month by manager Steven Gerrard, and fans can’t quite find an agreement on what the news might mean as they react to the reports on social media.

The now 19-year-old Academy graduate arrived from Manchester City a few years back and signed his first professional deal with us back in January 2017, going on to make eight appearances in total for our senior side following his debut against Kilmarnock in April of that year.

Failing to feature again as the new season began, he headed to Queen of the South for the second half of the 2017/18 campaign but only made four appearances in total for them but he was rewarded with a new 12-month deal that looks curious in hindsight as the Maltese born player is now tipped for a return to his homeland according to reports in outlet The Times Of Malta.

They claim an agreement for a season-long loan has already been concluded he will shortly arrive at Birkirkara if the wingback hasn’t already now travelled.

Gers fans aren’t quite sure what the make of the development, namely owing to his destination as surely a Scottish Championship club or even English League 1 or 2 would’ve been a better test if Gerrard saw a future in him?

Certainly a strange one, but given his age maybe a bit of being homesick kicking in, or personal issues of another sort might explain his return home?
