‘Slavia rejects the imaginary accusation of racism’

This bold claim has not aged well at all.

Regardless of any perceived language barrier, which doesn’t stand up to scrutiny – what a ridiculous, incendiary headline.

Here is a key problem with this whole sorry saga.

From the outset, Slavia went nuclear with their defence of Ondrej Kudela, another issue is that the defense has been flawed and contrived from the start.

Conflation of the serious incidence and impact of racism with the horror injury to their goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar did not help at all.

One wrong does not justify another and not that it really matters at this stage, but Kemar Roofe’s genuine attempt to win the ball was reckless.

As reckless as it was, he only had eyes for the ball and got to it first – however, it did directly cause the nasty but non-malicious injury to the Slavia keeper.

On the other hand, there was nothing accidental about Kudela seeking out Kamara and everything that happened thereafter.

Not once did Slavia Prague acknowledge this, to their shame.

Why Kamara, the smaller black man, who had nothing to do with the incident on the pitch leading to the break in the game as the Slavia player was receiving treatment on the ground?

We will leave that to your ‘imagination’.
