In a break from what we are used to recently, there will be home fans present in the Sinobo Stadium tonight.

At Eden, some atmosphere will be provided by a small section of the home crowd – which is sure to be welcomed by both sets of players.

Slavia Prague announced in a very kind gesture, that a number of sponsors tickets for the Europa League game tonight, will be distributed among Slavia season-ticket holders who are key workers.

Part of the statement (above) read:

‘The UEFA Return to Play Protocol allows 300 people from club sponsors to be present at the stadium. Upon an agreement with club partners, one third of these seats will be allocated for medical staff.’

‘Slavia invited its season-ticket holders working in hospitals and other health-care institutions to register for the free tickets on Friday. The available capacity was filled by Sunday night. All required hygienic and protective measures will be observed, FFP2 respirators and mandatory RT-PCR tests included.’

‘We believe that an evening watching their club enables our fans to relax and recharge for their difficult work.’

There will also be further support for Slavia in the UK thanks to the exploits of Tomáš Souček and Vladimir Coufal at West Ham.

The Czech imports have been a strong success at Stratford leading to a bond emerging between some supporters of both clubs.

Slavia’s English social media accounts have been busy promoting initiatives with mutual interests in recent times, including support for the plight of the brave young Hammer Isla Caton.
