Following Rangers press conference this morning, ahead of the game against Dundee United tomorrow, a strange thing has happened.
Sky Sports Scotland published Connor Goldson’s interview on their Twitter account but the advertising board in the background was blacked out.
Surely this hasn’t been done at the behest of the SPFL over the row with Rangers on the Cinch sponsorship/branding?
🗣️ "That's why we were so consistent last year, not looking too far ahead and just try and take one game at a time."

As official broadcast partners of the SPFL, Sky’s contract is with the league and therefore the clubs collectively, not with Rangers directly in the same way that the likes of STV, Go Radio and fan media outlets, Follow Follow and Heart & Hand are signed up as official club media partners.
At the time of writing, Steven Gerrard’s interview from the press conference appears as normal on the Sky Sports website – with the ad board visible.
Hopefully clarity will follow very soon on this, perhaps just a technical glitch but if there has been a deliberate intervention that only points to further hostilities between Rangers and the under-fire league body.
This one will be followed with interest.
