Rangers managed to pick up a huge win on the road in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday, winning 2-1 against St Johnstone.
A double from Alfredo Morelos rescued the Gers from the jaws of defeat, having headed into the break one down after a dreadful first half.
The second 45 minutes in Perth was one of the biggest tests of the season for Steven Gerrard’s side, who had to show a hunger and desire to dig themselves out of a hole.
One of the influential players was substitute Glenn Middleton, who came on for the ineffective Eros Grezda at the interval.
The teenage winger was a threat throughout and it was his delightful cross that Morelos met with a header to take the Gers level in the match.
Middleton has been criticised by some supporters recently because of inconsistency but some should remember he is still incredibly inexperience and remain patient with his undoubted talent.
He now has five goals and five assists for the season, which isn’t a bad return at all given his age and lack of senior action.
Should he now start Wednesday night’s clash at home to Hibernian?
These fans were delighted by his impact today and took to Twitter to share their thoughts…

Clue for Tav and Candieas there.. Middleton actually looked up to see where Morelos was to put the cross in, it wasn’t just blindly struck.

Lafferty and Middleton should both start against Hibs #RangersFC

Coulibaly and Grezda shouldn’t start. Middleton has been more effective off the bench than Grezda.
