It is the sight that all Rangers fans want to see – a Shane Duffy return to Ibrox.

Unfortunately for Duffy and the rest at Parkhead, the year of the fabled ten was an unmitigated disaster and particularly bad for him, personally.
It has now been confirmed that his club, Brighton are heading to Ibrox to take on Steven Gerrard’s Scottish champions on 24th July in the last weekend before the return of the Premiership.
Graham Potter’s side will travel north to provide a formidable test as Rangers seek to fine tune for serious action including Champions League qualifiers, very soon after.
The bold Duffy will not quite be looking forward to seeing ghosts of his recent past with a quick return to Govan, only months after he was sent back early to the Sussex club, following a string of erratic performances for the Parkhead club.
