A very interesting stat appeared on Twitter earlier today in relation to the upcoming Scottish Cup semi-final draw.

Upon checking, it does stand to scrutiny and the outcome will depend on the final quater-final to take place this evening at Tannadice between Dundee United and Celtic.

If the visitors prevail, the following situation will unfold:

Now, not to dismiss Thomas Courts team – if they were to win, it would be a fine victory for the Arabs but it is fair to say they are not favourites, even at home.

If the expected Celtic victory happens, it sets up a very tasty draw. Whatever way it would unfold, two great games and occasions would be guaranteed between Rangers, Celtic, Hearts and Hibs with the obvious possibility of Old Firm and Edinburgh derbies to decide the Scottish Cup finalists.

The last quarter-final kicks off at 7.45 PM and is live on Premier Sports as is the draw for the semi’s following the conclusion of the game.
