Graham Dorrans’ dream arrival at Ibrox is turning into a bit of a nightmare for him if recent speculation is anything to go by.
The Daily Record have reported this week that his current ankle injury could now keep him out for months rather than the expected weeks after he visited a specialist.
Having arrived last summer from Rangers for an officially undisclosed fee, the 31-year-old only managed 20 appearances in his first year with us, but his start to life at the club was incredibly promising with five goals in his opening eleven games.
Injury then hit though in Pedro Caixinha’s final game in charge and on his return, it appeared he may have been rushed back a bit too quickly. This pre-season he suffered another injury and whilst no time frame has yet been given, we may not see him potentially until the New Year.
With summer strengthening to the squad and that kind of spell on the sidelines, some fans are doubtful he’ll ever work his way back in even if there is plenty of support for the man.
Sad news for Dorrans and a blow to our squad, I would be very surprised if we ever see him in a Rangers jersey again… I wish him a full and speedy recovery ????????

Dorrans off until January (at least)… how many times have I said we need to change our medical department? They dont get anything right!!! Any injury takes 100 times as much time to get healed than in any other club

Hope not but doesn’t sound too good. Rossiter still 2-3 weeks away ????????

Disappointed with the news about Dorrans. I could’ve seen him being an upgrade on the role Ejaria plays.

Shame for Dorrans. Dreadful injuries since he arrived. Now he's long term again in questioning the decision to allow Greg doc to leave. Especially with halliday continuing to play.

Will have to wait for some kind of official confirmation first before any firms plans are made, but it’s certainly not working out how anybody would’ve hoped for him, but we’ll have to wait and see.
