Rangers have been relentless in the transfer window since appointing Steven Gerrard as their new manager, and despite the flurry of new arrivals at Ibrox, the Gers are expected to continue with their transfer business. A player who has been recently linked with a move to Rangers is Liverpool’s Danny Ings, and as per our poll, he would be an extremely popular signing.

The Ibrox Noise cited reports in the national press, linking the Gers with a possible move for the Liverpool forward, and despite the 25-year-old’s numerous injury complications over the course of the previous three seasons, he could prove to be an excellent addition to Steven Gerrard’s side.

In fact, before Ings disclosed his willingness to leave Liverpool, the Reds were keen to keep the former Burnley forward which is indicative of the quality that he possesses. During his final two seasons with the Clarets, Ings scored an impressive total of 37 goals – which further reinforces his goal-scoring credentials.

Most significantly, if Rangers were to sign the English forward, it would be an example of the club’s unrelenting ambition and one that could help substantially in curtailing Celtic’s dominance. The Gers had the most prolific attack in the Scottish Premiership last season, and the arrival of Ings would help augment that status. Seemingly, Rangers fans concur, as 86% of our respondents are eager for the Gers to sign the Liverpool forward.
