Respect? Sakala needs no lessons from Hartson

It wouldn’t be an Old Firm week without a “Celtic-minded” pundit spouting nonsense on whatever media platform they are given the opportunity to on.

You can take your pick this week, Chris Sutton, Andy Walker, Kris Commons and, yes, you’ve guessed it, John Hartson.

Hartson is never one to hold his thoughts when he has the chance to take a dig at Rangers, even if it means making himself look stupid in the process.

This time, within no time at all he has had a go at Fashion Sakala for not showing Celtic any respect after his “other mob” comment about playing Celtic, discussing with Barry Ferguson on the Go Radio Football Show as reported by The Daily Record:

“It did not bother me. People can say what they want, you have a job to do at the end of the day. You turn up and you are really focused, you aren’t bothered by what the opposition say or think.

“All that sort of stuff on social media, making headlines, it’s up to them as they can do what they want. I am not overly bothered by it.

“Barry is right. I think you be a bit more respectful.”

Where do you start? This is the same man that kicked a teammate in the head in training when he was already on his knees – I don’t think we’ll be taking lessons on respect from Hartson any time soon. He’s “not bothered” but he thinks that Sakala should be more respectful, that doesn’t even make sense.

Also, why should we or any Rangers player respect a club that refuses to call us by our name, refuses to use the term “Old Firm” despite sharing the trademark and refers to the biggest derby in the world as “The Glasgow Derby” instead.

Respect? Hartson would struggle to spell it.

And Ferguson is just the same .He says always respected the opposition until he crossed the white line, so what happened to respect the day he threw ice at the Celtic dug out and what happened to respect for his own club during the Scotland Boozegate saga . The pundits in the media are all hypocrites and these are two of the worst ,By the way Sakala referred to his own team as “the bunch” , does this show a lack of respect or could it all be because English is not his native language .
