Back during last season, Rangers were linked with a move for Gillingham striker Tom Eaves ahead of the January window – as per Sky Sports.
A player well into the 6 foot category, he is a rangy, powerful striker that, yet again, scored a lot of goals last season in League One despite not playing for one of the best sides in the division.
The move never happened, though, with Jermain Defoe coming in during the window to add to our striking options.
Indeed, the January target was available for a move with him taking to Twitter to reveal that he had left Gillingham after his contract expired this summer:

A player that scored a lot of goals for the Gills, he might have been one we could have looked at again this summer but, instead, he has moved on to Hull City.
Of course, we have other attacking options in our side but none of the profile of Eaves, just some food for thought…
