According to Football Insider, Steven Gerrard was the main reason behind Ryan Jack signing a new contract with the manager urging the club to striker a deal with the player.
The midfielder has had a good season so far and with the Gers challenging for the title and looking good in Europe, it is clear that the Light Blues need players like Jack to be staying at the club.
It seems as though we’ve managed to secure that for the next four years, too, with the player signing a £4m+ deal according to the report.
The contract news was confirmed last week, of course, and the finer details are now starting to filter through with the Ibrox side surely looking to add further players onto new deals before too long.
