Rangers are in cup action this weekend whilst the Rangers Colts have also been in cup action of late, with the reserves getting their chance to get some kind of regular, competitive action as well.

Of course, few of us really pay much attention as to what goes on with them but, interestingly, Eros Grezda grabbed the headlines in their most recent game as he scored a brace.

Good for him, but those heroics are bound to earn him very little when it comes to getting back into the first-team fold at the club.

It does seem pretty fair to assume that he’s not going to be in Steven Gerrard’s plans.

Indeed, only in the last round of the competition, he spat at an opponent player and, as well as that, he is simply not good enough for the first team side.

It’s a nice moment for him, but it’s going to mean little in terms of salvaging his Rangers career.
