Steven Gerrard has offered a fresh update on the transfer business he hopes to conclude before the end of the transfer window and it appears as though he still wants one more arrival.
The boss has had a fantastic window and I think we can be pleased with what he and the rest of the recruitment team have done in terms of the players that they have signed.
Even if he didn’t get anyone else in I’d be pleased with the squad that’s been put together but it seems as though Steven still has eyes for a little bit more business before the deadline passes.
Quoted by the Daily Star, the gaffer has revealed that there could be one more name to come in before the end of the window, though he has kept coy over who that might be.
He said:
“We’re nearly complete in terms of the squad we are trying to build. There will not be much more activity there – maybe one.”
I’m happy enough as I said, though, and I think we can look forward to this season with real excitement regardless of any new arrivals.
