We’re back under the Ibrox lights this evening as Rangers look to finish the job they emphatically started last week against Gibraltarian side St Joseph’s.

The Gers are 4-0 up on aggregate and should progress into the next round of Europa League qualifying as they look for European football next season.

One man that won’t be a part of that journey, though, is Eduardo Herrera, with Rangers confirming on their official website that the player is set to extend his loan for another six months with Nexaca in Mexico.

A wise agreement if he’s not part of Steven Gerrard’s plans, then, and according to the Daily Record this will provide us with a financial boost.

Indeed, it’s set to save us £20k-a-week in wages until 2020 and when you add that up over six months that is a decent bit of money to have knocking around instead of wasting.

A good agreement for all involved I’d say.
