Rangers will learn of their Scottish Cup 4th round opponents on Monday night.

This is the round of 32, when all 12 Premiership clubs come into the reckoning and in the unseeded draw the likes of Auchinleck Talbot, Banks O’ Dee and Clydebank can get the big draw to capture the imagination with a trip to Ibrox or Parkhead, amongst others.

This season brings the 138th edition of the grand old tournament with St Johnstone aiming to retain the second trophy of their double last season, which was secured to the disappointing backdrop of no fans.

When is the Scottish Cup draw and is it live on TV?

The draw will take place on Monday night after the game between Brechin City and Darvel, shown live after the screening of the game by BBC Scotland.

Who is in the hat for the 4th round draw?

All 12 Premiership clubs will join the 20 eventual winners from the previous round, as below:

Partick Thistle, Alloa, Arbroath, Auchinleck Talbot, Ayr United, Banks O’Dee, Peterhead, Clydebank, Cove Rangers or Queen of the South, East Kilbride, Dumbarton, Raith Rovers, Annan, Inverness or Morton, Kelty Hearts or Montrose, Edinburgh City, Kilmarnock, Airdrie, Stirling Albion, Brechin City or Darvel.

When will the Scottish Cup 4th round games take place?

Scotland’s showpiece cup competition resumes after this weekend, in late January – for the Premiership clubs this will come after the Winter break.

The games are set to be played on the weekend of Sat 22nd Jan.

Change of fortune for Rangers?

After a dismal run in the cups under Steven Gerrard, will Gio van Bronckhorst win a cup at his first attempt – we definitely hope so. This Scottish Cup and the 4th round presents the first chance for the Dutch revolution to make their mark on the other domestic prizes and GvB will have designs on a more memorable return to Hampden, where he tasted success as a Gers player, following the terrible result that he witnessed as an onlooker in the League Cup defeat to Hibs recently.
