Rangers tipped for European struggle

Rangers are back in action on Thursday night as we take on Porto in Portugal and it could be a very exciting game for us to watch.

For sure, it is going to be tough as this is a side that has regular Champions League experience and, that in mind, they will be thinking that they can go far in this competition.

There’s no reason why we shouldn’t have similar ambitions, though, and it’ll be interesting to see how the Gers do when it comes to playing a side like that.

For former striker Charlie Nicholas, though, it could prove a tough evening for the Light Blues.

Speaking in his regular Sky Sports prediction piece, he had this to say:

“Rangers do not have the craft or knowledge to get through these games when they do not see a lot of the ball, so this is where they may come unstuck,” before predicting a 2-0 scoreline to our opponents.

That’s his opinion, but it’s not necessarily one I subscribe too.

We have a tough test in front of us, but there’s no reason why we can’t score the goals needed to get a result against them.
