Rangers will be back in action sooner than later this week with Europa League football back on the horizon.

It’s going to be a crucial couple of games as we look to get ourselves into the knockout stages, too, as we take on Porto twice in the space of a few weeks.

They’re a side set to offer a stern test, and we’ll have to be at our best.

If we do make the knockouts, too, Steven Gerrard may well be tempted to add to the side in the January window and there are plenty of rumours going around at the moment.

However, two players that might not join the side any time soon are Lewis Gibson and Aaron Hickey with Steven Gerrard addressing the rumours around them this weekend just gone.

Quoted by the Scottish Sun, he said:

“Lewis Gibson isn’t on the radar, it’s just speculation.

“The kid at Hearts, Hickey, is the same.

“Craig Levein has had to answer that question but he shouldn’t because there’s nothing in it.”

Gerrard’s dismissed the rumours, let’s see if that’s just a clever ploy.
