Harry Wilson has secured a permanent move to Fulham, putting to an end to the ongoing speculation that Rangers would be making a move for the Wales international.

Just like Robbie Fowler and Alan Smith in years gone by, Wilson’s name is one that has repeatedly cropped up as a potential target over several windows.

Of course, much of that is due to the Steven Gerrard – Liverpool link, as well as the similar path of Ryan Kent, prior to his arrival and acceleration as a first team player, in Glasgow.

Wilson, 24, left Liverpool’s Austrian training camp over the weekend to complete a permanent move to Craven Cottage, with Jurgen Klopp’s side said to have recouped a significant £12million fee for the much travelled player.

Over the last few seasons, he has gained first team experience in the Premier League and Championship with the likes of Derby, Bournemouth and Cardiff.

Wilson also featured recently at Euro 2020 as part of Robert Page’s Wales squad who gave a decent showing of themselves.

As reported by Sky Sports, the player stated on his move to west London:

“I’m delighted to sign for Fulham. From my first chat with the gaffer on the phone, I loved what he was saying and felt that he understood me as a player, and that played a massive role in me coming here.”

“The ambition of the club to get back into the Premier League appealed to me as that’s where we all want to be. I’m hoping I can come here, have a good season and help get the club back into the top tier.”

No more loans and no more Rangers reports for the foreseeable future for Harry Wilson.
