Quoted by Football Insider, former Leeds player Noel Whelan has suggested that Marcelo Bielsa and the Whites could well sign Ryan Kent before the window is shut on a permanent deal.
The report also refers to the fact that we remain interested in the player but that it is going to be hard for us to get him in as Liverpool only want to sell up, not loan him out again this summer.
Indeed, it’s hard to see us being able to afford a permanent transfer for him in this window – despite us having extra time in Scotland to try and work things out before the market closes for business.
And, for Whelan, it would not be a surprise if Leeds ended up getting him in the next week or so in England.
He had this to say:
“Ryan Kent is available now for £10million, not for loan, and I can see Bielsa signing him, he’s one he would want.”
It’s an interesting take and hopefully it’s a wrong one. Leeds do have some money but will they be willing to spend it on the winger?
