Rangers manager Steven Gerrard continues to prepare for Thursday evening’s Europa League clash with Rapid Vienna and the players should take a massive boost from the number of fans who are claimed to be heading out to cheer them on.
A whopping 12,000 are reportedly heading out but we have already sold out our allocation of 2,500 tickets and the hosts are said to be looking to give us extra tickets to cope with the demand, but there should be some incredibly lively and good natured pubs enjoying the boost to business if that proves to be true.
Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie took to social media and pointed out that with the numbers travelling for the game, it will be the first time the Allianz Stadion will have been sold out since it was first built.
.@skrapid Head of Security says they’ve given Rangers additional tickets for tomorrow’s sell out. 2,500 Gers fans now inside the stadium, but another 9,000 expected to travel without tickets. Says it’s the first time the stadium has been sold out since it was built! #RFC

Vienna officials have apparently confirmed that they have now opened up a quarter of the 24,000 capacity stadium to Rangers fans for the tie, so it should be a hell of an atmosphere – now all we need is the result.
