The fall-out from the alleged racism towards Glen Kamara continued today after Connor Goldson met the assembled media as part of the build up towards the weekend’s Old Firm.

The captain on the night reacted furiously when his teammate explained what had been said to him and had to be restrained before he could get to Slavia Prague defender Ondrej Kudela  – at the centre of the furore – to confront him.

Goldson remains disgusted by the event and revealed the emotions running through him as full-time approached, as reported by The Daily Record:

“I know that something was said and I believe him 100 per cent.

“That’s why I reacted in the way I did. The player couldn’t even look me in the eyes, wouldn’t speak to me.

“I’ve never been so angry on a football pitch. I’ll be honest, I completely lost my cool and for the remaining however long it was in the game all I wanted to do was hurt someone and I’ve never been like that before on a football pitch.”

Rangers and in particular Steven Gerrard have been very vocal in their support of Kamara and UEFA are now responsible for investigation the alleged incident, but there is no doubt in the eyes of Goldson about what happened.

The recurring theme has been the way and immediacy in which Kamara reacted, he is the most horizontal person in Rangers squad and was clearly enraged by what Kudela had said to him – and it certainly wasn’t what Slavia Prague claimed it was.
