Obviously Aaron Ramsey is yet to kick a ball in the royal blue of Rangers but his stay in Glasgow could be prolonged beyond the end of the season.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Juventus have agreed with Ibrox chiefs that they will get priority on a permanent deal if both sides wish to take up that option

Great incentive, but first the 31-year old needs to prove his worth and value to the Scottish champions.

If Ramsey shines between now and May, of course he will have options in the Prermier League and elsewhere. On the other hand, it could be that the initial lure of Ibrox grows further and turns into a longer term arrangement, that is what we need to wait and see.

It is known that the Wales captain needs a particular training arrangement and very much to follow a specific programme. That will be afforded to him at Rangers, more than was the case in Turin.

With only five appearances for Juve this term, there are question marks over the availability and longevity of the former Arsenal man to be answered.

Against Hearts on Sunday, we should get an understanding of how Ramsey will fare in his first test.
