It’s not often that you have the luxury of moaning about only being 21 points clear but that’s where we find ourselves after the less-than-impressive 1-1 draw with Motherwell on Sunday.
There was no lack of effort or determination in trying to break down a stuffy opposition, however, clear cut chances were few and far between, which was as much to do with our creative players having an off day as it was Motherwell’s defenders’ reluctance to leave the six-yard box.
Two players in particular struggled to reach their normally high standards with Ryan Kent and Joe Aribo typifying a day where noting seemed to go right and it didn’t go unnoticed.
Gers fans took to Twitter after the game in response to the duo’s performances with two points dropped against the Premiership’s bottom side not on the agenda before kick off.
For the praise he gets, we really do need more than a good game every four from Aribo.

Ryan Kent needs a few games on the bench imo

Given that they have imploded … we should be winning these games easily and rubbing their noses in it … accepting below par mediocrity is not the Rangers way. Not nearly good enough and Kent and Aribo need dropped.

Rangers need a spark. Rejuvenated even.
I say 3412. Balogan, Helander, Goldson,.., Barisic, Kamara, Jack, Tavernier,.., Hagi,.., Roofe and Itten
Morelos and Kent are garbage, dropped
Tav is atrocious defensively so relieve some of that duty.
Itten deserve a run now
Kent 🤡

The pace of the game when Rangers were in possession was shocking. What ever happened to 1 touch and pass? We’ve just dropped points to Motherwell who are sitting 12th. Kent aswell, we paid £7m for this guy and he was hiding all game.

Kent has been poor for weeks and if aribo doesn’t get a bit more consistent I canny see him having a long term future with rangers

Actually thought 2nd half we played well and were unlucky not to win we just need a bit more from the likes of Kent and Aribo.

With Ross County coming to Ibrox on Saturday, Steven Gerrard has another week in which to prepare his players, a return to form for the pair should be top of the agenda during training but with Cedric Itten pushing for a starting role and key players returning from injury, they may find themselves on the outside looking in if they don’t buck up their ideas.
