No, no, no – Rangers staff have managed to score an own goal of epic proportions with the release of a framed print depicting the teams lined up at the start of the recent Champions League game with Liverpool at Ibrox.

The licensed framed picture store in conjuction with Arena Imaging has a range of prints available, from legends to occasions that should be remembered and other related collages.

Whilst the Liverpool game certainly was memorable, it was for all the wrong reasons with the 1-7 scoreline reflecting the club’s heaviest loss in Europe. It was a demoralising, damaging defeat, with the impact still raw in some aspects.

Now it may ‘only be a frame’ or ‘just a bit of merchandise’ but these things matter, the small details do. Proper clubs don’t commemorate getting embarrassed and tanked on the pitch, end of story. Someone at the club is responsible for such licensing and merchandise arrangements and should be on top of this. It is nowhere near good enough and unfortunately it has to be pointed out.

It was a night that no-one will forget but given what transpired, why would anyone want such a reminder of it. What a nonsense for this product to be available, as well as the cost of it at £50.00

Rangers Football Club was built on standards of success and reaching for the best. Such nonsense like that above should have no place, regardless of the process of how it has happened. It is a relatively small thing but in the grand scheme of things with many negatives and bad choices adding up, its impact is felt even more.

Get it sorted very quickly, please.
