It was inevitable that when Rangers failed to make the group stages of the Champions League, that there would be a host of players linked with moves away from Ibrox.

One player who has been rumoured to be a Premier League target is Ryan Kent and, in a question and answer session on social media, The Sun journalist, Alan Dixon, who is well connected at Leeds United, gave Gers fans some much needed good news when asked if he had heard anything on a potential transfer:

“It would still be in £15million range to get him.

“So I doubt that just now.”

Marcelo Bielsa is obviously a big fan of the Rangers forward given that he tried to sign him when Leeds were first promoted to the Premier League and again last summer, however, their reported bids were nowhere near the club’s valuation.

The 24-year old was an integral part of Steven Gerrard’s title winning side and the one that made the last 16 of the Europa League, making double digits for both goals and assists, he is also Celtic’s most feared player and one that has caused them problems every time he has lined up against them.

Who scored Rangers first ever goal under Steven Gerrard in EL qualification?

Kent will no doubt want to try his luck in the Premier League one day and, grudgingly, I’d have to admit that Leeds would be a good fit given his style of play and how Bielsa sets his teams up, if anything it would probably take his game to the next level.

Where Dixon gets his £15m valuation from I’m not quite sure but Kent’s importance to the team and the sell on clause from his Liverpool transfer means that it may need to be closer to the £20m mark for Rangers to entertain selling him, especially when you consider that Alfredo Morelos is valued at this figure and he has less time on his contract still to run.
