All you want in the early rounds of the Scottish Cup is to progress, safely, to the next round without any drama, injuries or yellow cards and against Annan Athletic it was very much a case of “job done”.
Early goals from the returning Filip Helander and Kemar Roofe pretty much put the game to bed mid-way through the first-half despite Stephen Craigan’s desperation for the home side to find a way back in to the tie – those watching on Premier Sports having the misfortune of listening to him speak for almost the entireΒ minutes, he really needs to learn that less is more.
In horrendous conditions we still manged to play some nice football, Aaron Ramsey just ruled to be offside after scoring what would have been a wonderful goal but it was Fashion Sakala that stole the limelight with a magical moment.
I saw the goalkeeper it was a shot ππtop corner ππ https://t.co/j3AIBackYj

No, not his shanked cross that ended up in the top corner but his Ronaldo celebration that brought Rangers first-team coach, Roy Makaay to tears.
Fashion Sakala caught everyone out with that strike! π

Sakala has an effervescent character and is clearly loved by all the players and staff, regardless of whether or not he meant it, his reaction to scoring the third goal was hilarious and was clearly enjoyed by the coaching staff.
The Zambian international has credited Makaay already for helping to improve his finishing but even he isn’t that good, surely?
