It’s hard to find comfort in a game in which a two goal lead has been thrown away but, here goes.

Alfredo Morelos needs help, he can’t do it all on his own nor should he be expected to carry the burden of responsibility for scoring goals every game.

Finally, Fashion Sakala got his chance, the only downside to his performance against Motherwell being that it was ended prematurely when he was replaced by Kemar Roofe.

What you see with the Zambian international is what you get – hard work, endeavour and a willingness to shoot off either foot whenever the opportunity arises.

He took his goal exceptionally well on his “weaker” foot, the only criticism being that he could have walked off the park with better numbers, this criticism should be tempered by the fact that most of the good positions he found himself in were of his own making.

It was far from perfect but, then again, he rarely gets the chance to start and when he does, he usually finds himself on the bench the following week regardless of how he has performed, but that time must come to an end.

Sakala will only be able to fine tune his game by spending time on the pitch with his team mates, learning what runs they make, when to shoot, and when to cross but he has earned that chance.

He isn’t perfect but neither was Morelos when he first signed nor Ryan Kent, they were given the chance to improve, a chance that Sakala has also earned.
