Rangers chase 9-goal attacker rated at £675,000

|

Rangers are showing serious interest in Pogon Szczecin striker Adam Buksa ahead of the summer transfer window, according to website Football Insider.

The outlet say that the club have watched the player closely over the last few months and were scouting in attendance as recently as Sunday’s goalless draw with Jagiellonia Bialystok.

Buksa, who is 22 and currently rated as worth £675,000 by Transfermarkt, has scored nine goals in 18 Polish top-flight appearances so far this season.

He still plays with the Polish U21s side, winning 9 caps at that level and scoring twice. Perhaps not quite the finished product, he nonetheless looks to have decent potential.

The Gers could be in real need of striking options this summer with the future of Colombian Alfredo Morelos in doubt after letting down the team massively again at the weekend by being sent off against Celtic.

His 29 goals have been crucial this season but if we can’t rely on him in big matches then we need to think about cashing in on his transfer value.

If we do, we’ll need solutions in attack quickly and Buksa could fit the bill.
