Shock stat that shows Celtic ARE refereed to different standard

The referees treat Celtic differently to everyone else, don’t they? That’s the narrative that their fan base will have you believe and that everything goes in Rangers favour.

Of course, we all know that this is nonsense but one particularly damning statistic has emerged this week that makes you question the sanity of their support, if you didn’t already.

Since the New Year Celtic have committed over 70 fouls and been given four yellow cards, yes, just four yellow cards. Are we really to believe that they’ve had no other mistimed tackles of professional fouls worthy of the officials having to take a name or two?

Compare this to Rangers, who have had over 100 free-kicks given against us and nearly 20 yellow cards in the same period and you have to think, this is the worst conspiracy ever, why aren’t the refs letting our players away with as much?

The maths is pretty basic, for every five fouls – give or take – a Rangers player gets a yellow card but for Celtic that number is over 17, they get away with over three times the number of fouls before a card comes out. Apply this into the context of a cup final that could go to extra-time and it doesn’t take a genius to work out who is more likely to get a player sent off.

We all know what their issue is with VAR, we saw it as clear as day at the weekend when Alfredo Morelos clearly had his shirt pulled for a penalty – remember how they told us Niko Katic’s shirt pull on Christopher Jullien was a stonewaller – they don’t want the right decisions, they want everything to be ignored if it is against them and everything else in their favour.

A club like no other? You’ve got that right!

I’m sure supporters of Celtic_fc_1888 would have a different scenario it different getting decisions at vital parts of games if your leading 3-0 and the ref starts giving you decisions which he doing his job right you should be getting anyway its when games in the balance and your not getting those decisions that’s what Celtic_fc_1888 supporters are questioning if a team presses high up the park they are going to get penalised fullbacks going down facing there goals least touch get a foul just look how many penalties Celtic_fc_1888 get when when drawing or one goal init that’s when the refs decision matter b not when games won

Can’t argue with facts – 12 penalties for Celtic since 2007 4 for Rangers in Old Firm derbies.
